Barbara M Kingsbury

Barbara Kingsbury, 89, died on Thursday, August 16, 2018. Born Barbara May Jones on July 17, 1929 in Massachusetts to Richard and Mary Jones, she later moved to New Hampshire marrying Theodore J. Ficek, residing in Auburn and becoming the mother of six children; son, Ken Ficek with wife Sharon and daughters Beretta and Brooklyn of Concord and son Matthew; daughter, Kathy Ficek of Candia; son, Bill Ficek of Manchester; daughter Mary Ficek of Derry with daughter Callie Ficek; son, the late John Ficek with sons Joe and Dave Ficek; and son, the late Richard Kingsbury. She was also stepmother to Michael Kingsbury of Goffstown, Vickie Kingsbury of Lewiston ME, Kathy Kingsbury of Woodriver IL, and Dave Kingsbury of El Dorado KS.

Barbara loved all living things, enjoyed gardening, visiting the ocean whenever possible, large family picnics, and Easter egg hunts at her Auburn home. Barbara had many friends and was loved by all that knew her.

She spent her final years at Ridgewood Nursing Home, where she befriended staff and residents alike. Her health began to fail dramatically on Sunday, August 12th, and she later passed away comfortably on August 16th, 2018 at CMC hospice care while surrounded by family and friends. She will be so deeply missed and forever in our hearts. No calling hours are planned, and in lieu of flowers, please donate to the First Congregational Church on Union St. Manchester, or the Audubon Society, or CMC Hospice services. A small family gathering will take place with details to be decided in the near future. We know she would tell you "I love you all"
