BARBARA H. GRAY MCGOVERN
GOFFSTOWN, NH â Barbara H. Gray McGovern, 90, died on Monday, December 27, 2010, at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, in Goffstown.
Mrs. McGovern was born in Waltham, MA, on December 24, 1920, the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Tolle) Howes. She was a resident of Manchester for over 60 years.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. McGovern was employed as a clerk for Yellow Freight Company, for many years. She also worked at Martinâs House of Cloth until 1989.
She was a former parishioner of St. Patrickâs Church, in Manchester.
Mrs. McGovern volunteered at the Faith Christian Church Food Ministry and at CMC gift shop.
Members of her family include; her son, Lee Gray, of OK; one daughter, Barbara Ann Forcier, of Manchester; two step daughters, Cynthia McGovern, of Maine; Mary St. Onge, of Manchester; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011, from 2:00 â 4:00 PM and 6:00 â 8:00 PM, at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, 12:00 Noon, in the funeral home chapel. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, in Manchester.
