Barbara Moran

Barbara Moran passed away on November 24, 2018 at CMC Hospital after a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester, NH on June 6, 1932, she was the daughter of Warren L. Dalton Jr. and Violet Parant Dalton.

She attended local schools and was a graduate of Mount St. Mary Seminary, Nashua, NH. She attended the University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH.
In 1955 she married John J. Moran Jr. They lived in Oakland, CA while he was stationed at Parks Air Force Base. They later settled in Manchester, NH.
She worked for the A. Perley Fitch Co., Wholesale Druggists, in Manchester; the Manchester School Department; and the VA Medical Center Pharmacy in Manchester, retiring in 1995.

Her family and children were the center of her life. She enjoyed music, traveling and attending Broadway musicals. An avid sports fan, she derived pleasure from the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics. She loved painting still life and doing needle crafts. Her wonderful Boxer dogs gave her much happiness for many years.

She is survived by her son, David J. Moran of Manchester, NH; her grandson, Max P. Moran of Concord, NH; her daughter-in-law, Janet L. Moran of Manchester, NH; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Moran Jr. in 2007 and by her son, John J. Moran III in 2006.

There are no calling hours. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
