Barbara S. Thayer

Barbara S. (Copeland) Thayer, 88, of Goffstown passed away peacefully at her residence on April 12, 2014 with her loving family present.

She was born in Bridgewater, MA on April 25, 1925, the daughter of Lester and Mary (Egan) Copeland. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed going to the ocean and traveling. She loved spending time with her family. She was the widow of Charles W. Thayer who died in 2008. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Janet Thayer and by a sister, Dorothy Behnke.

Family members include her son, Chuck Thayer and his wife Charlene of Goffstown; two grandchildren, Jennifer Lique and Michael Lahar; two sisters, Lorraine Ellis of VT and Gwen Yeaton of Bridgewater, MA; and nephews, nieces and cousins.

A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes, 243 Hanover St on Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 PM.
