Barry G. Cronin, 58, of Bedford died October 1, 2012 at CMC in Manchester after a short illness.
Barry was born on May 4, 1954 in Winchester, MA the son of the late Francis J. and Mary E. (Carroll) Cronin. He attended Waltham, MA schools graduating from Waltham High School in 1972. Barry graduated from UNH summa cum laude with a degree in history where he achieved Presidential Scholar. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
He was a dedicated New England sports fan, especially the New England Patriots. Barry never missed a Patriots game since acquiring season tickets in 1994, and attended 145 straight games at home. A history enthusiast, his library at home contained hundreds of books, mostly American History. He was an avid collector of antique postcards of the seacoast of New England. He loved the ocean and spending time at Seabrook Beach. One of his greatest joys was his children and attending their sporting events.
Surviving family members include his wife of 18 years, Dr. Nancy E. (Wolf) Cronin of Bedford, son, Danny Cronin of Bedford; two daughters, Allison and Marisa Cronin of Bedford; sister, Carroll Cronin-Grigg of Waltham, MA and his six cats.
Services are private.
