Beatrice T. (Jacob) Bedard, 93, formerly of Manchester, passed away at Webster at Rye on May 7, 2023.
She was born in Hooksett on January 1, 1930, the daughter of the late Leon and Alice (Duhaime) Jacob. An exceptional seamstress, it is no wonder most of her working life involved sewing, whether it was piece work at Pandora Mill, retail work at various local department stores, or for a number of years before her retirement, as a seamstress for Hillsborough County Nursing Home. Beatrice loved to travel, play bingo, crochet, and knit, but most of all she cherished spending time with her family. She enjoyed her independence and won the hearts of everyone she met. She was very spiritual and a long-time parishioner of the Parish of the Transfiguration. She volunteered with the parish nurse and at the Red Cross, CMC, various local nursing homes and for many years would make turbans for a local oncology center. She was the widow of Francis A. Bedard who died in 2004 and was predeceased by her 12 siblings.
Family members include her son, Ronald Bedard (William Coughlin) of Ogunquit, ME; three daughters, Denise Bedard (Linda Carr) of New Boston; Elaine Bedard (Gale Shepard) of Niantic, CT; and Joyce Baribeau (David) of Hooksett; three grandchildren, Dan Baribeau (Natalie) and Joe Baribeau of Hooksett, and Olivia Bedard of Niantic, CT; two great grandsons, Connor and Aaron; and many nephews and nieces.
