Beatrice Elinor (Smith) Carlson, 95, of Bedford, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020.
Born on November 12, 1924 in Melrose, MA, she is the daughter of the late Sidney and Gertrude Smith. Raised and educated in Melrose, Beatrice worked at Federal Reserve Bank from 1942 to 1948. She married the love of her life, the late William Carlson on June 6, 1948 in North Reading, MA. Beatrice was a dedicated wife and mother, raising two beautiful children. After her children were grown, she ran her own preschool during the 1970s.
Beatrice is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Barbeau; son, William Carlson; and grandson, Michael Wesolowski.
ARRANGEMENTS: Beatrice will be laid to rest beside her husband at Tewksbury Cemetery, Tewksbury, MA in a private family service. Assisting the family with arrangements is the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester, NH.
Those who wish may make a memorial contribution to ALS Therapy Development Institute, 300 Technology Square Suite 400, Cambridge, MA 02139, in honor of her grandson, Michael Wesolowski.
