Beatrice M. Carter

Beatrice M. Carter, 85, of Raymond, NH died Wednesday, April 20th surrounded by her family.

Beatrice was born in Lowell, MA on April 27, 1925, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Camarcho) Rebal. She lived in Woburn for 83 years before moving to Raymond, NH. She attended Woburn High School and was a parishioner of St. Anthony Church.

Beatrice was a homemaker and mother of 8 children who entered the workforce once her children were grown. She sewed clothes for Vogue Doll Company for several years and then began working in the Winchester Hospital coffee shop where she stayed for 15 years.

She loved to shop and had a knack for seeking out incredible bargains on anything and everything, but her true enjoyment was Bingo. Beatrice would often go to Bingo seven days a week, playing multiple cards at once and usually winning. Beatrice was a strong, yet soft-spoken woman who never uttered a harsh word. She was loving, caring, and kind, and is described by her children as a great mother.

Beatrice is survived by her 8 children; Ernest Carter of Woburn, MA, Dennis Carter of Woburn, MA, Marylou Carter of Raymond, NH, Robert Carter of Woburn, MA, Morgan Carter of Woburn, MA, Paul Carter of Jacksonville, FL, Marie McGarry of Woburn, MA, and Beverly Carter of Woburn, MA; 23 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her long-time companion and dearest friend, Genarro Vozzella.
