Beatrice Cary, very well known in the political field, dies at age 101. Beatrice (Beaulieu) Cary, 101, formerly of 200 Hanover Street, died July 4, 2002, at Mount Carmel Nursing Home. She was born in Canada of April 5, 1901, the daughter of the late Adrien and Virginie (Morel) Beaulieu and came to the United States at the age of six and has been a resident of Manchester for most of her life. She was the widow of Fred Cary who died in 1970. Mrs. Cary worked many years for R.G. Sullivan Cigar Company. She was very well known in the political field. She was a member of the N.H. General Court from 1954 to 1962. Beatrice was a life member of the Owl Association, the Alpine and Lafayette Clubs, the William H. Jutras Post, American Legion # 43, the Franco-Americain War Veteran Auxiliary, the Amercian Association of retired persons and she was also elected on the Council. She was a former State Representative Chaiperson and belonged to the National Order of Women Legislators. Family members include two nephews, Armand Dupont of Manchester and William Beaulieu, Jr. Of Hooksett, a niece, Lucille Dube of Goffstown, a great niece, Elaine Cannessa of Chicago, Illinois. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Memorial Mass will be said at Ste. Marie Church at a later date.
