Benjamin Tapia Gately

On October 19, 2025, Benjamin Tapia Gately, 20, passed away suddenly. He was born on December 25, 2004, Christmas Day.

Benjamin was a bright, kind, and curious young man. From an early age it was clear that he would never take the easy, or expected path, starting with his lifelong devotion to the Baltimore Ravens while surrounded by New England Patriots fans. He was a talented soccer and basketball player on his high school team. After high school, he pursued an education in plumbing and enjoyed working in the plumbing field while attending school.

Benjamin is survived by his parents, Debbie Gately and Moises Tapia; his siblings, Olivia Tapia Gately and Elijah Tapia Gately; his grandmother, Stephanie Gately; his aunts, Michelle Gately, Janyce Gately, and Sharon Gately; his uncle, Rafael Olmedo; his cousin, Elina Olmedo; his dog, Charley; as well as his extended family and his many friends.

There are no goodbyes for us, although tears may fall, and hearts may ache, your love lives on in every breath we take. We all love you Benjamin. Rest in peace.
