Bernadette M. Rogers, 66, of Bedford died suddenly on March 28, 2005 at Catholic Medical Center. Bernadette was born on May 20, 1938 in Inverness, Scotland the daughter of the late Leo and Veronica (Bellew) Mackie. At the age of 13, Bernadette and her family relocated to California where she was educated and spent her teenage years. In 1968 she moved to England, met her true love, Peter Rogers in 1976 and married. The couple purchased a pub in Worksop, England, Innings which they owned and operated for ten years. Upon the death of her husband, Bernadette returned to the United States to be close to family. She enjoyed playing the slot machines at Foxwoods, and was an avid Red Sox fan. She was a worldwide traveler and had a passion for life. Bernadette was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished her family. Family members include; one son, David Kelley of Bedford; daughter, Veronica and her husband, Ray Campbell of Bedford; a step daughter, Jennifer Farley of Leeds, England; three grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. In her life: Bernadette was devoted to her three grandchildren and great granddaughter, David Campbell and his wife, Chentell, Andrew Campbell, Cecile Haynes and Samantha Grace Campbell. She was predeceased by her brother, Leo Mackie. Her two traveling companions, Pongo and Theodore will remain with her forever. There will be a memorial reception on Thursday, March 31st from 3:00 until 4:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 4:00 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester.
