Bernard L Phelps III
Dunbarton- Bernard L Phelps III, 75, of Dunbarton, passed away on March 25, 2014, surrounded by his loving family, at Massachusetts General Hospital after battling a long illness.
Bernard was born and raised in Goffstown, NH and lived with his son Shane up until the time of his passing. He was the son of the late Bernard L and Beverly M (Bolding) Phelps II. He was an entrepreneur who started many business, including his most well-known Phelps Pallet Salvage Co. that was located in Bow and Manchester NH and had multiple locations as far as in Virginia. Bernard was a great, strong, hardworking man and giving man who always seemed to put everyone's needs before his own. He was a father to many and was continually helping others. Some of Bernard's passions include fishing, camping, his coin and stamp collection and his beloved kitty, Bruiser. He will be eternally loved and missed.
Bernard is survived by his children Shane Phelps of Dunbarton, Bernard L Phelps IV of Manchester, Scott Phelps of Pembroke, Mark Phelps of Weare, Robin Reeves of Texas, and Tiffany Dionne of Manchester, his brother, Ronald Phelps of Weare, and his sister, Muriel Gently of Maine, Roxanne (Kay) Phelps of Hillsboro, who was his best friend and Shane's mother, and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and very good friends.
As well as his parents, Bernard was predeceased by his brother, Nelson Bolding.
Services: A gathering will be held on Saturday April 5th from 12 pm to 2 pm at Phaneuf Funeral Home at 250 Coolidge Ave, NH with a Life Celebration Service starting at 1pm. Interment will be private and held at a later date.
