Berniece M. Bowe

Berniece (Landry) Bowe, 98, of Bedford, NH, died on November 7, 2024 with family at home.

Berniece was born on July 5, 1926 in East Boston, MA, a daughter of David and Margaret Landry. The family moved from East Boston to Everett in the 1940s. Berniece met her beloved husband, Gerald Bowe, at a roller skating rink in Somerville and were married in June of 1950. They spent most Saturdays with the extended Bowe family socializing and playing cards. Sundays, after church, were spent with the Landry family in their Everett home. In addition to their commitment to their families, they also enjoyed their lifelong friends, Dick and Claire Marshall. Berniece and Gerald moved out of Massachusetts to Londonderry, NH in 1967 and moved to their forever home in Bedford in 1977, where they were longtime active parishioners of St. Elizabeth Seton Church.

She was predeceased by her husband Gerald G. Bowe Sr., her son Gregory J. Bowe, and seven siblings: Catherine, Marie, Frances, Martina, Thomas, Elmer, and Reginald. She is survived by her son Gerald G. Bowe Jr. and wife Eleanor (Cummings) Bowe of Oakland, CA and Bridgewater, NH; son Joseph M. Bowe of Bedford, NH; son Timothy F. Bowe and wife Sharon (Hackett) Bowe of Waxhaw, NC; daughter-in-laws Patricia Kincare of Miami, FL and Karen Bowe of Manchester, NH; grandchildren Stephanie Bowe Ullman and husband Adam Ullman, Gretchen (Bowe) Tornabene and husband Stephen Tornabene, Gregory Bowe, Kellie (Bowe) Geissler and husband Matthew Geissler, Matthew Bowe, Allison (Bowe) Ditolla and husband Matthew Ditolla, Kevin Bowe, Adam Bowe, and Kathryn Bowe; great-grandchildren Grant & Vivienne Ullman, Graham, Ross, & William Tornabene, and Ava & Emma Geissler.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 16 at 10am at St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Bedford. Burial will take place at New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. 

Donations in Berniece' memory can be made to the Visiting Angels Living Assistance Services and Amedisys Hospice Services for the excellent care provided to Berniece.
