Bertrand N. Bernard

Bertrand N. Bernard, 81, of 1160 Hooksett Road, Hooksett, NH died July 28, 2003, at the Veteran Medical Center. He was born in Manchester on June 6, 1922, the son of Adelard and Blanche (Perreault) Bernard and resided 40 years in Manchester and the past 16 years in Hooksett. Bertrand enjoyed going to Rockingham Park and to Red Sox Games. He enjoyed all the people and the care from the staff that he received at the V.A. Hospital. Mr. Bernard was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was employed with Chicopee Mills for 25 years. Mr. Bernard is the widower of Marion (Demers) Bernard who died in 2001. Family members include two sons; Robert Bernard and Richard Bernard, both of Manchester, two daughters; Mrs. Ronald (Lorraine) Gagnon of Goffstown, NH and Mrs. Paul (Diane) Roux of Auburn, NH, 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Avenue, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 9 o'clock in the Parish of Transfiguration. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
