Bertrand A. Proulx, 81, of Manchester, NH, died October 19, 2006, at Catholic Medical Center, in Manchester.
Mr. Proulx was born on June 6, 1925, in Manchester, the son of the late Donat and Eva (Lariviere) Proulx. He was a life long resident of Manchester.
At the time of his employment, Mr. Proulx worked as a clerk for over 20 years at Clark & Stearns, Incorporated.
He was a veteran and Purple Heart recipient, of World War II, having served in the United States Army.
Mr. Proulx enjoyed gardening, making jigsaw puzzles, and doing crosswords. He was active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for many years where he was a counselor. Mr. Proulx enjoyed the company of his little buddy, Benji.
Members of his family include, his 3 sons, Barry Proulx, of Manchester; Peter Proulx and Paul Proulx, both of Weare, NH; 5 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, many nieces and nephews. Mr. Proulx was predeceased by his wife, Rebecca J. (Pray) Proulx, who died in March 2001.
IN HIS LIFE: Mr. Proulx was predeceased by his son, Denis Proulx, who died in 1970.
Calling hours will be Sunday, October 22, from 2 â 4 PM and in the evening from 7 â 9 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Avenue, in Manchester. A funeral service will be Monday, 11 AM in the funeral home. The Reverend Dean Pentalla will officiate the service. Committal prayers and burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, in Manchester.
It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to the charity of oneâs choice.
