Beryle G. Guimond

Beryle G. Guimond, 86, formerly of Manchester died March 19, 2001, at Villa Crest Nursing Home following a lenghty battle with cancer. She was born in Dorchester, Ma., on December 29, 1914, the daughter of the late Winthrop B. and Lorraine (Hall) (Brown) Center. Mrs. Guimond was a graduate of Concord High School, Class of 1932 and lived most of her life in Concord. She was a PBX operator of New England Telephone in an ira of operator assisted call, before dial phones. For many years she worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, retiring in the early 1970's to Clearwater, Florida. She later moved to Leesburg, Florida before returning to New Hampshire in 1993. Her husband, Leo W. Guimond of 59 years, predeceased her in April 1996. Family members include two daughters, Elizabeth Cleary of Goffstown and Nancy Keown of Minnesott Beach, North Carolina, two sons, David Guimond of Goffstown and Paul Guimond of Leesburg, Florida, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one sister Mildred Haggerty of Portland, Maine. SERVICES: A Memorial Reception will held at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Thursday morning from 11 to Noon with a service immediately following in the funeral home chapel at Noon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Concord, NH. Donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, Home Hospice, 1850 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
