Bethany Brianne Drewniak, 40, of Nashua, passed away at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center on April 27, 2022.
Bethany was born in Concord on September 28, 1981. Always active, she spent most days of her youth playing softball and field hockey, cheerleading, and having adventures with her family and friends. She continued to excel in sports during her time at Manchester Central High School and Salem State College while giving back to organizations she loved by volunteering her time as a coach.
A creative and free spirit, Bethany traveled the world, collecting friends with her beautiful smile and gregarious personality. Returning to New Hampshire, she continued to bless those around her with her generosity and unwavering love - especially her parents, Daniel and Karin (Falling) Drewniak of Manchester; the light of her life, her daughter, Elsa Drew Levison; her sisters, Anne and Amanda; her four nephews and extended family, including her global travel partner, Aunt Ann Jennings.
Although Bethany faced many life and health challenges, she greeted every sunrise with gratitude and optimism. Her hope for a better tomorrow and belief in her recovery lasted until the very end, when her body could no longer keep up with her dreams. Cancer, chemotherapy, and a debilitating spinal epidural abscess could not dampen her spirit, but her heart, which had given so much to so many, could not survive the pneumonia and blood infection that ultimately took her from us.
A memorial service will take place Thursday, May 5th at 2 p.m. at the Community Chapel of the Nazarene, 5 St. Laurent St. Nashua NH. A celebration of life gathering will be scheduled for this summer and, in keeping with her birthday tradition, will include the first annual BBD Memorial Scavenger Hunt. In lieu of flowers, Bette’s family invites you to look upon those who are struggling with mental health issues, addiction, or recovery with grace and compassion.
Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester, is in charge of arrangements. To view an online tribute, send condolences to the family, or for more information, visit www.phaneuf.net.
