Beverly M. Hugron, 78, of Canterbury died at CRVNA Hospice House on Sunday, April 3rd surrounded by family, following a courageous battle against cancer.
Beverly was born October 15, 1932, the daughter of the late Elmer and Mary (Blake) George. She was a lifelong resident of Canterbury.
She worked in the insurance industry for several years, as well as for the town of Canterbury as the tax collector and town dog catcher where she took great pride in having found a home for every dog she caught. However, Beverly spent the majority of her working years partnered with her late husband, John, running the family business, Green Thumb Acres.
Described as a loving mother by her three children, Beverly was a strong-willed and independent woman who worked hard to keep her family and business running smoothly. She was an avid reader and food enthusiast who greatly enjoyed going out to dinner with her husband.
Beverly was predeceased in 2010 by her husband, John W. Hugron. She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Fatula and her husband James of Orlando, FL; sons John A. Hugron of Franklin and Donald E. Hugron and his wife Linda of Louisville, KY; Lori Lamont, whom she often lovingly referred to as her second daughter; her sister, Shirley Boyce of Canterbury; her sister-in-law Rosa Marston of Concord; three grandchildren, Benjamin of Louisiana, and Christopher and Amber of NH; and many nieces and nephews.
