BEVERLY M. (ROLFE) JOHNSON

GROVETON, NH -- Beverly M. (Rolfe) Johnson of Groveton, NH died peacefully on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Weeks Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Beverly was born on May 4, 1932 in Groveton and was the daughter of the late Harold and Lela (McManus) Rolfe. She attended Groveton schools graduating in 1950.

Beverly worked at Peoples National Bank in Groveton and continued through two mergers ending her career as Vice President at Siwooganock Bank.

She enjoyed spending time at the family cottage at Maidstone Lake and many years of spending two or three months in Florida during the winter. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Stanford Johnson of Groveton, her two daughters; Lorna Jewell of Colchester, Vermont and Holly (George) Jamison of Milton, Vermont, as well as three beloved grandchildren; Erika (Jesse) LeClair of Swanton, VT, Evan (Melissa) Jewell of St. Johnsbury, VT, and Carissa Jamison of Orlando, FL. She also has three treasured great-grandchildren, Elle and Emery LeClair, and Samuel Jewell; and several cherished nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her sister, Marilyn (Rolfe) Nasta as well as her brother Harold Rolfe, Jr.

The family would like to extend sincere thanks to many wonderful neighbors and friends who offered warm hearts and strong arms through Beverly's long illness. Specifically, Bob, Dick, and John Hart; Jim Perkins; Mary Beth and Toby Kennison; Jim Tetreault; Faye Young; Polly Craggy; Nicole McMann and many others too numerous to list. Also, the wonderful staff at Weeks Memorial Hospital and the Groveton ambulance crew.

SERVICES -- There are no public calling hours. A graveside memorial service will take place on May 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Northumberland Cemetery. A gathering will immediately follow the service.
