Beverly Mae White, 86, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2023 after a period of failing health. Beverly was born on May 21, 1937 to George and Mildred White.
Beverly spent her life in the greater Manchester area. After graduating from high school, Beverly started working at the Manchester Public Library as a secretary. 46 years later she retired from the library as the Art Librarian. She attended Notre Dame College in Manchester and the University of Rhode Island receiving her Master’s in Library Science. Beverly was a lifelong member of the Manchester First Baptist Church and the women’s auxiliary of the church. Beverly also was very active in the Rebekahs. When Beverly retired, she received the key to the city of Manchester by Mayor Robert Baines. In her retirement, Beverly was active with the Salvation Army. She loved cats and owls, having several cats as pets through the years. Beverly leaves her cousins Sarah Edwards (Bob), Marshall White (Laura), and Charles White (Marilyn), as well as several other cousins, family, and friends.
A graveside service will be held on December 27th at 10:00am in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Manchester City Library Foundation, 405 Pine Street, Manchester NH 03104, or the First Baptist Church, 536 Union Street, Manchester NH 03104.
