Beverly J. Richard, 75, of 684 Dix Street, died at her residence April 20, 2000, after a long illness. She was born in Lewiston, Maine on August 2, 1924, the daughter of Ernest and Ethel (Fleet) Ashton and had been a resident of Manchester for most of her life. She was the widow of Edmond Richard who died in 1972. She was an avid knitter and bowler. After retiring from Bee Bee Shoe as a bookkeeper she worked part time for Fanny Farmer. Family members include three sons, Peter T. Richard of Goffstown, William E. Richard and Ronald J. Richard, both of Manchester, two daughters, Pamela M. Richard of Manchester and Judith A. Shah of Nashua, nine grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a sister Lucille Whiting of Auburn, Maine, several nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Saturday evening from 7 to 9 with a service immediately following in the funeral home at 9 PM. After cremation burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford, NH.
