Billy Don Webb

Billy Don Webb, 80 of Manchester, NH died at Hackett Hill Nursing Home in Manchester on June 7, 2009. He was born in Texas on July 28, 1928, the son of Henry E. and Annie L. (Ettheton) Webb. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving as a paratrooper with the Occupation Forces in Japan after World War II. For most of his career, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service as an overseas mail supervisor at Logan Airport. He had also worked for Simplex Co. He resided most of his life in New England. After his retirement, he moved to Kezar Falls, ME where he lived on his 30 acre parcel of land. For the last year, he was a resident of Manchester. He was an outdoorsman and loved camping and fishing. Family members include two sons; Phillip Webb of Hickery, NC and Jonathan Webb of Colorado Spring, CO; five daughters; Debra Babine and Anne Webb, both of Manchester, NH; Natalee Webb and Leslee Webb, both of Stoneham, MA and Alicia Webb of North Andover, MA; many grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a brother, Joe Webb of TX; a sister, Dorothy Reed of TX; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Calling hours will be at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St., on Wednesday from 4 to 6 PM. Funeral services will take in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 6:00 PM followed by military honors. Interment will be at a later date in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery.
