Blanche A. (Desmarais) Fortier, 94, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at her home in Manchester.
Born on May 1, 1915, in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of the late Josaphat and Amanda (Martineau) Desmarais. She was a life long resident of Manchester.
Mrs. Fortier enjoyed sewing and was an accomplished seamstress.
Members of her family include; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Rosario Fortier who died in 2005, and by her son, Lucien Fortier.
Calling hours will be Friday, June 5, from 9 to 11 AM at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 250 Coolidge Avenue, in Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, 11:30 AM at St. Marie Church, Notre Dame Avenue, in Manchester. Committal prayers and burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, in Manchester.
Arrangements are under the direction of Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Manchester.
