Bonnie D. Carlson

Bonnie (Dixon) Carlson, 76 of 200 Alliance Way, died June 20, 2003 at the Elliot Hospital. She was born in Rosenberg, TX on December 29, 1926, the daughter of George and Ida Mae (Parker) Dixon and had been a resident of Houston, TX for most of her life before moving to Manchester three years ago. She was a nurse for several years. She and her husband owned and operated Carlson Surgical and Orthopedic Brace Company in Texas for many years. She had been a resident of Hillcrest Terrace for several years where she had made many friends. She was the widow of Edward "Swede" Carlson who died in 1990. Family members include her daughter, Bonnie Wiggin of Bedford; a grandson, Richard L. Washington of Manchester, a step-granddaughter, Loli Wiggin-Schooley of Pasadena. TX; two sisters, Earline Tison of MI and Mary Elizabeth Dixon of TX; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Bedford Arrangement Center and Chapel, 172 Route 101 in the Village Shoppes of Bedford on Sunday from 3 to 4 PM.
