Bonnie H. Pelletier, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025, in Concord, NH, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 5, 1963, in Manchester, NH, Bonnie embodied the spirit of kindness and generosity, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.
She graduated from Manchester Memorial High School, and her commitment to helping others extended far beyond mere words. Known for her extremely caring and generous nature, Bonnie would provide assistance to anyone in need, often offering them a place to stay during difficult times. Her selflessness was remarkable, always putting the needs of others before her own.
Bonnie's passion for life was reflected in her love for the great outdoors. She particularly enjoyed camping at Baker River and York, Maine, which were special venues for family gatherings and bonding times. She also found joy at York and Wells Beach, always seeking any excuse to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. A talented gardener, she cultivated an exquisite flower garden filled with roses in her backyard, a testament to her nurturing spirit. Bonnie also loved crafting, as she created beautiful Christmas decorations and artwork that her family will forever cherish.
In Manchester Bonnie proudly became the first woman to serve as a scout master for the Scouts, setting a precedent for future generations. Additionally, she was proud to have worked as the assistant camp director at Camp Carpenter in Manchester, where she inspired many young people.
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Pelletier, and her sons Edward Proulx and his wife Kristina, Bill Gwynne and his wife Sarah, grandchildren Zachary and Oliver Gwynne, her daughter Lauren Prive along with nieces, nephews, extended family in Scotland and countless friends whose lives she touched who will remember her fondly.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Isabelle Gwynne, father, William Gwynne, and brothers Robert McGilvray and John Gwynne.
A memorial gathering to honor Bonnie's life will be held on Friday, January 10, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium - Hanover, located at 243 Hanover St, Manchester, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bonnie's memory can be made to Breathe NH to assist people living with lung issues.
