BOSCAWEN - Brian A. Swenson, 74, of Boscawen, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Brian, born on October 27, 1947, was raised in Boscawen and graduated from Penacook High School in 1965. After graduating high school he joined the Air Force and served in Vietnam from 1967 to 1969. He was Crew Chief on a C-130.
After returning from Vietnam he returned to school and earned his Master Electrician's license at 23. Brian was a Master Electrician for 40 years retiring in 2008 from R&T Electric. After retiring Brian would enjoy bird-watching with his wife Victoria. Brian would volunteer his time to countless organizations. Brian was proud to be called a pillar of his community and had the ability to help fill the shelves at the food pantry for the community of Boscawen. Brian, as a member of VVA Chapter #41 played a part in bringing the Moving Wall to Concord in 1990.
Brian leaves behind his loving wife of 23 years, Victoria (Whiting). Brian leaves four children, Jennifer Kananen and her husband, Eric of Northfield, Erik Swenson and his wife, Holly of Spring Hill, Fla., Dana Swenson and his girlfriend, Jessie of Barnstead and step-son, Shannon Williamson of Concord. Brian also leaves 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Brian also leaves two brothers, Gus and his wife, Sally of Boscawen and Stephen Booth and his wife, Kathleen of Concord and countless cousins, nieces and nephews.
Brian is predeceased by his parents, Lennart and Idella Swenson and a sister, Carolyn Booth.
SERVICES: Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 1 p.m. at the NH State Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Easter Seals NH, Senior Services, Homemakers &Health Services Division, 555 Auburn Street, Manchester, NH 03103 ( Easterseals.com/nh )
