Bridget Lacoursiere Desrosiers, 48, died Saturday October 25 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Bridget the fourth of five children born to Oscar and Cecile (Lapierre) Lacoursiere in Sherbrooke Canada immigrated to New Hampshire at a young age. Her parents were in the tree logging business and instilled in all their children hard working and honest values. Bridget's caring and gentle nature, along with her upbringing helped her to pursue and complete her dream of becoming a registered nurse in 1987. She worked in the field until shortly before her death, caring for others and her family, which is what brought her joy.
Shortly after completing her nursing degree, Bridget met her husband, Michael Desrosiers. In a whirlwind romance they eloped and have been married for 24 happy years. Mike, owner of Skaters Edge in Manchester introduced Bridget to his love of the ice and she quickly joined him in this life long pursuit. When their children arrived it became a family affair. Bridget's commitment to her children's development in both education and athletics gave them a firm foundation. She instilled in them both commitment and discipline set by her example and will be ever present with them for their lives.
Her family and friends remembers Bridget as a selfless, gentle loving and devoted, wife and mother. She will always hold a place in our lives and hearts.
