With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Candi Lorraine (Steinbacher) Franquet, 61, on Sunday, January 25th, 2026 at her home in Loudon. She was born on August 17th, 1964 in Williamsport, PA, the daughter of Emerson Lewis Steinbacher and Donna Joyce (Nead).

She graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 1982 and eventually moved to New Hampshire to be close to her mother and sister in 1995. After working at Concord Lithograph for several years, she worked at McLane Company in Contoocook for over 20 years, most recently in Quality Control.

She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her two grandsons. She loved taking pictures of anything and everything, but never wanted to be in front of the camera. She enjoyed Hallmark movies and home remodeling shows on HGTV. She loved going to the beach and visiting Newick’s seafood restaurant. She was never one to turn down an adventure, including concerts, monthly lunch meetups with friends, drives to nowhere, and pushing aside her small fear of flying by traveling to Hawaii last summer to fulfill her lifelong dream, since seeing Diamond Head on The Brady Bunch Hawaii special in 1972.

Candi was predeceased by her father, Emerson; mother, Donna; and brother, Emerson Jr. She is survived by her children, Christine and Bob (Kate); her grandchildren, Emerson and Kenton; and her siblings, Mike (Kim) and Ginger (Roger).

SERVICES: A joint visitation/funeral service will be held at 10:00am-12:00pm on Friday, January 30th, 2026 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, located at 172 King St, Boscawen, NH. Interment will immediately follow at Blossom Hill Cemetery, located at 207 N. State Street in Concord. Family and friends are invited to attend. A Celebration of Life will also be held in the summer.
