Carl Bruce Schulz passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of July 5, 2025, at the age of 77. A proud native of Philadelphia, PA, Carl lived a life marked by strength, curiosity and deep devotion to his loved ones.
At 19, Carl answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Marine Corps during one of America’s most challenging wartimes. He spent two years in the service, demonstrating courage and commitment that remained a hallmark of his character throughout his life.
Carl dedicated over 40 years of his professional life to Sandmeyer Steel Company in Philadelphia, where he worked as a District Sales Manager. He was respected not only for his hard work and loyalty but also for the relationships he built along the way.
A lifelong learner, Carl had a deep passion for history and could often be found sharing stories and insights about the world’s past. He taught himself the intricacies of finance and trading, enthusiastically tracking the markets with great enthusiasm and discipline.
Carl was a loving father to his daughter, Danielle Lee Schulz and his son, Carl Schulz, Jr., and a proud grandfather to Ayden, Sienna and Brooklyn. For the past 30 years, he shared his life with his beloved partner, Kathy Sirak, whose love and companionship brought him great joy.
Above all, Carl will be remembered for his bravery. Over the past year, he faced a glioblastoma brain cancer diagnosis with unwavering courage and grace. He was, and always will be, the bravest man we know.
Carl is survived by his daughter, Danielle Lee Schulz, his son, Carl Schulz, Jr. and his wife, Lauren Regine Schulz, three grandchildren, and partner Kathleen Sirak.
His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will continue to honor the wisdom, strength and love he shared so freely.
