Carlton "Skip" Sherman Milliken, Jr., 84, of Concord, died after a brief illness on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at The New Hampshire Veteran's Home in Tilton, NH.

He was born September 1, 1930 in Lowell, Massachusetts to the late Dorothy Clare Milliken and the late Carlton Sherman Milliken, Sr. Carlton graduated from Concord High School and was a 20 year veteran of the Navy. He retired from the Navy in 1968 with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. During his years in the Navy he was a Radio Man and Navigator in a Blimp Squadron.
After his service in the Navy, Carlton held a Private Pilot's License. He enjoyed flying. He owned and flew a Citabria, his aerobatic airplane. He was a member of the Henniker Flying Club. Carlton lived in Concord and entered the Navy in1948. Upon retirement from the Navy he lived in Brunswick, Maine, and worked at Bath Iron Works. He also worked at Aerotronics in Contoocok, NH and at Northern Telecom in Concord, NH. He was a Ground Coordinator FLY-AN-AD L.L.C., a Banner Towing Company.

Carlton is survived by his son, John S. Milliken and his wife, Colleen, of Concord, NH, his granddaughter, Katelyn Milliken of Clinton, Massachusetts, his sister, Virginia Milliken King, of Concord, NH, his brother, James W. Milliken and his wife, Susan, of Concord, NH, and his sister-in-law, Carole A. Milliken, of Concord, NH, wife of his late brother, David C. Milliken. His survivors also include 10 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Yvonne Dimitriadis Milliken, his brother, David C. Milliken and his brother, Don C. Milliken

Services will be held for the family at a later date. Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, in Boscawen, New Hampshire, is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Carlton's name to the Pope Memorial SPCA, 94 Silk Farm Rd, Concord, New Hampshire, 03301.
