Carmelle A. (Labonte) Rondeau, 103, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Hanover Hill Health Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Princeville, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Eva (Prince) Labonte. She came to Lawrence Mass in 1923 and was raised and educated in Lawrence where she met and married the love of her life, the late Lionel N. Rondeau.
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Carmelle's family was paramount in her life. She cherished time spent with her children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her younger years, Carmelle enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She was a talented seamstress, lovingly sewing clothes and dresses for her children during their youth. More recently, she loved to put together puzzles with her family. Carmelle will be best remembered for her kind heart and gentle spirit.
Carmelle is survived by her three daughters, Elaine Duke, Claudette Perrigo, and Joan Blouin and her husband Larry; two sons, Leonard Rondeau and his wife Pam, and Ronald Rondeau and his wife Jeanne; 17 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three sisters, Annette Audet (104 years old), Gabrielle Meehan (100 years old), and Beatrice Rizzo; many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. In addition to her husband, Carmelle was predeceased by two sons-in-law, Alfred Duke and Joel Perrigo; and 6 siblings.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her Visitation will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave., Manchester on Friday, July 7, from 8:30 to 10:30A.M. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in the St. Pius X Parish, 575 Candia Rd., Manchester, on Friday, July 7 at 11:00A.M. Friends and relatives invited. Burial will be held privately at a later date. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Hanover Hill Health Care for their dedicated care of Carmelle.
