Carmen G. Burdette-Matthew, 48, of 109 Dave Street, Manchester, died October 24, 2007 at her residence. She was born in Virginia on August 9, 1959, the daughter of George Burdette and Gertrude (Wippich) Fortier. She was a graduate of Merrimack High School and had been a resident of Merrimack before moving to Manchester in 1980. For the past three years, she was a sales representative for Sallys Beauty Supplies. Prior to that, she worked at Home Depot and for Macys Department Store in sales for 15 years. In Her Life: She lived life to the fullest. She loved the beach, shopping and a party. She spent most of her time having fun with her family and friends. She was everyones friend and was there when you needed her. She was the best wife, daughter, mother, sister and friend and will be missed by everyone. She leaves behind her husband of 23 years, James Jim Matthew, her father of Merrimack, her mother of Deering; two sons, Alex Matthew and Zachary Matthew, both of Manchester; a daughter, Britny Matthew of Tampa, FL; a step son, Brandon Mondor of Northfield; one granddaughter, Olivia Mondor; a brother, Thomas Burdette of Merrimack; two sisters, Sherry Burdette of Concord and Nancy Smith of Manchester; and several nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins. A memorial gathering will take place at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street on Monday from 5 to 8 PM. A Celebration of Her Life service will be held on Tuesday morning at 9 AM in the funeral home chapel. Urn burial with a committal service will follow at Last Rest Cemetery in Merrimack.
