Carmen I. Guarino

Carmen Isabel Guarino, 82, of Concord, NH passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Havenwood Heritage Heights.

Carmen was born in Puerto Rico May 12, 1939, to Carlos and Hortensia (Santiago) Caballero and educated in area schools. A ballerina in her youth, Carmen married and transitioned seamlessly into motherhood, taking pleasure in the small joys life offered, and enjoying a successful career in claims processing with Amalgamated Local 298 in Valley Stream, NY.

Carmen is survived by her son, Stephen Guarino Jr. and his wife, Robyn, of Concord, NH; her daughter, Suzanne Guarino of NY; her grandchildren Stephen Guarino III and Eva Guarino; and other cherished extended family members in New York and Puerto Rico. In addition to her parents, two brothers and a sister, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stephen Guarino, in 2013.

The family will receive visitors Monday, March 28, 2022, 10:00-11:00am at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 172 King Street in Boscawen. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 in the funeral home chapel with burial following immediately at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway in Boscawen.
