Carmen Rosa Ramos, 76, of Manchester NH passed peacefully with her daughters by her side on Monday, August 22, 2022 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. Born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on October 5, 1945 to the late Carmello and Francesca Guzman, she was the youngest of 14 children. Carmen shared nearly 60 years of marriage with her husband, John Ramos Sr.
Carmen spent her early childhood in Puerto Rico and would later move to New York City where she and John met and started their family. They relocated to New Hampshire in the late 1960s where Carmen would then work for Velcro USA for over 20 years as a machine operator.
In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, singing, music and dancing. She was well known for her cooking and loved bringing people together to enjoy her delicious meals.
She was the matriarch of her family, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will forever be remembered for her warmth, love, humor and generosity. She had a very silly side to her that will be dearly missed. Carmen found great comfort in her Christian faith.
Carmen is survived by her husband John Ramos Sr, of Manchester; her children, John Ramos Jr of Hudson NH, Linda Palmer and her husband Bill of Hooksett NH, Rafael Ramos of Manchester NH, Peter Ramos of Manchester NH and Deborah Morton of Goffstown NH; her grandchildren, Candace Ramos, Elijah Ramos, Zachary Ramos, Alyssa Palmer, Carmen Ramos, Christopher Ramos, Carter Ramos, Briyanna Allen, and Liam Morton; her great grandchildren Kailani and Athena, as well as several siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
