Carol Ann (Vagasky) Plichta

Carol Ann (Vagasky) Plichta, 65, of Bellevue, Nebraska, died on December 25, 2023. Born in Bridgeport, CT on November 22, 1958, Carol was the daughter of George and Elizabeth Vagasky of Stratford, CT.

Carol went to school in Stratford, then studied Education, specializing in Childhood Special Education at Southern Connecticut State University.  She was a very dedicated special education teacher for the Bedford, New Hampshire and later, Bellevue, Nebraska Public Schools. Carol was very active with the Catholic Church Music Ministry wherever she was living, as a vocalist and guitarist. She loved to travel, particularly visiting National Parks and historical sites throughout the country.

Carol is survived by her husband of 17 years, Theodore Plichta; children, Zachary (Robin) Belanger and Lisa (John) Spurrell; grandchildren, John and Chloe Spurrell and Madison Belanger; nephews, Bradley and Andrew Vagasky.  Preceded in death by both parents, George and Elizabeth, and brother, Stephen Vagasky.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10^th from 3-5PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave, Manchester, NH. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 11^th at 10AM at Parish of the Transfiguration, 305 Kelley Street, Manchester, NH. Burial will follow at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
