Catherine Ann (Ackerman) Kram, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away August 6th, 2026 surrounded by her loving family after her courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 16, 1944, in Halstad, Minnesota, Catherine was a cherished daughter of George and Agnes Ackerman. Her life was a testament to love, faith, and dedication, woven deeply into the fabric of her family and community.

Catherine was a proud graduate of Hillsboro High School, class of 1962. She married the love of her life, Harry Kram, on July 5, 1965. Together, they celebrated 61 beautiful years of marriage, crafting a life centered around their deep love for each other and their family.

Catherine's career was as diverse as it was meaningful. Her professional journey included roles as a secretary for an insurance company, a consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics, and as a toll booth supervisor for the Department of Transportation. However, her most cherished role was that of a devoted wife and mother, a role she filled with unwavering love, strength, and grace.

Faith was a cornerstone of Catherine's life. She was actively involved in her Catholic community, serving as a counselor for Marriage Encounter at Nativity in Fargo, ND, as well as at St. Patrick's and St. Anthony's in Manchester, NH.

Catherine's hobbies were as rich and fulfilling as her life. She adored family game nights, quilting, and riding in the Jeep. Her love for camping, traveling, and passing down treasured family recipes brought immense joy to her and those around her. Her voice, whether singing or sharing stories, was a source of comfort and happiness.

Her warm, outgoing, funny, and loving nature was a beacon to all who knew her.

Catherine welcomed people from all walks of life into her family, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met.

Her legacy of love and kindness will forever be cherished by her surviving family: her devoted husband, Harry Kram; her children, Bryan Kram and his wife Rebecca of Weare, NH, Lori DiPietro of Webster, NH, and Darin Kram and his wife Tammy of Manchester, NH.

She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren, Aleczander Kram and his wife Lise of Manchester, NH, Robert Kram of Merrimack, NH, Tucker Kram of Manchester, Zachary Bissonnette and his wife Jade of Manchester, NH, Dylan Bissonnette, and his wife Maria of Laconia, NH, Amber DiPietro of Manchester, NH, Jennifer Pigott and her husband Brett Pigott of Mason, NH and David Ashe of Manchester, NH.

Catherine also cherished her five great-grandchildren, Makenna Pigott, Cooper Pigott, Levi Bissonnette, Harper Bissonnette and Phoebe Bissonnette.

Catherine also leaves behind her surviving siblings Bernard Ackerman of West Fargo, ND, Elroy Ackerman and his wife Jean of West Fargo, ND, Leo Ackerman and his wife Shirley of Hillsboro, ND, Ed Ackerman and his wife Kathy of West Fargo, ND, and Mary Stoa and her husband Rod of Fargo, ND

Catherine was predeceased by her siblings Delores Vettel, Earl Ackerman, and John Ackerman.

Catherine will be remembered for her warm gentle spirit and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Catherine's memory to The Elliott VNA, honoring her spirit of generosity and love.

SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, August 18th, from 4 to 7 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematoriums, located at 243 Hanover St. Manchester, NH. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, August 19th, at 10 AM At St. Anthony’s Church, located at 172 Belmont St. Manchester. NH.
