Cathleen A. Hossfeld

Cathleen A. (Guptill) Hossfeld – Bedford, NH Age 52 of Bedford, died Saturday December 3rd at her home. She was born on June 26, 1953 in Salem, MA the Daughter of Robert and Edith (Comeau) Guptill. She was raised and educated in Lynn, MA and graduated from Lynn English High School Class of 1971. Cathy had also graduated from the Salem Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1974. Cathy began her nursing career at Salem Hospital in Salem, MA as a nurse in a special care nursery. After getting married and moving to NH with her family, she continued her nursing career with the Visiting Nurses Association, and then in caring for patients with psychiatric needs. During her career, she had also worked for Frisbee Memorial Hospital, Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Portsmouth Pavilion and Elliot Hospital in Manchester. Her first priority was her husband of 27 years, and her children, for whom she cherished. In her lifetime she had a special relationship with her family, especially her siblings, who had also lost their mother at a young age to cancer. She is survived by her husband of 27 years Paul J. Hossfeld of Bedford, NH. 3 Sons; Bobby, Craig and Tommy, all of Manchester. Daughter Caitlin of Bedford. Brother Paul Guptill of Lowell, MA. 3 Sisters; Alice Driscoll of Phoenix, AZ, Patricia DePietrio of Swampscott, MA and Kendra DeYoung of Peabody, MA. Grand Children P.J. & Jaxon of Manchester. Several nieces and nephews also survive her. Calling hours are Tuesday December 6th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Phaneuf Funeral Home & Crematorium 243 Hanover Street Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday December 7th at 10:00AM at St. Elizabeth Seton Church Meeting House Road in Bedford, NH.
