Cecile Gloria
Leonard
Feb 9, 1949 — Aug 9, 2026
Merrimack
Cecile Gloria Leonard, born in Manchester, New Hampshire on 2/9/1949, passed away after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. She was the beloved daughter of the late Daniel Macmahon and Marcelle (Gosselin).
Cecile would spend her childhood growing up in Manchester and would remain a lifelong resident until the very end. She had a long and prosperous career at Southern New Hampshire Services, where she would eventually retire after many years of dedicated service.
She cared deeply for her family and loved nothing more in life than spending time with them, creating beautiful and lasting memories. One of her favorite things to do was get out of the house and into the world, traveling around with her beloved family by her side.
Cecile was a giver and was always looking out for her friends and family. She was kind and selfless and always took incredible care of those closest to her.
She was predeceased by her former husband; Donald Leonard, her long-term partner; Real Arguin, her son; Michael Leonard, her brother; Ronald Macmahon, and her step-mother; Liana Macmahon.
She is survived by her sons; Daniel Leonard and his husband Richard Gosselin, and Gregg Leonard, his wife Bobbi and their family from Lacey, WA, her step-brothers; Mark and Brian Macmahon, her granddaughter; Alyssa, her aunt; Lorraine Gosselin, her best friend of over 50 years; Diane Ouellette, and many other close friends and cousins.
Services will be held privately at a later date.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the Community Hospice House, who took exceptional care of Cecile in her final days.
