Cecile T. Mayo, age 86, passed away peacefully on her birthday, October 21, 2025.

Born October 21, 1939, in Lowell, Massachusetts, Cecile was the eldest daughter of the late Gerard and Yvette Lepine. She was predeceased by her sister, Jean Hewitt of Silver Springs, Florida, and her brother, Don Lepine of Haverhill, Massachusetts.

Cecile was married to the late Earl Mayo, and together they made their home in Nashua, New Hampshire, where they lovingly raised four children. She is survived by:

  • Richard Mayo and wife, Susan McDermott of Campton, NH
  • Debra LeBlond of Merrimack, NH
  • Tony Mayo and wife Denise of Somerville, MA
  • Dan Mayo and wife, Lori of Ashland, NH

Cecile was a devoted grandmother to Adam Mayo (Amherst, NH), Derek Mayo (Milford, NH), Nathan Mayo (Dracut, MA), Christopher LeBlond (Manchester, NH), Nicholas Mayo (Derry, NH), Hannah O’Leary (Dorchester, MA), Alex Mayo (Brooklyn, NY), Jacob Mayo (Medford, MA), Cameron Evans (East Hampstead, NH), and Isabelle Mayo (Chicago, IL) and four great-grandchildren — Joe, Abigail, Logan, and Ashton.

Cecile is also survived by her beloved partner of 37 years, Gustavo Cano of Nashua, NH. Together, they enjoyed scenic weekend rides throughout New England, exploring seaside towns and indulging in their shared love of seafood.

Her home was a place of warmth and welcome. Over the years, Cecile extended her kindness and hospitality to many, including Jay Martin of Nerja, Spain, who lived with the family and became like one of her own.

Cecile held several professional positions throughout her life but spent the majority of her career at Sanders Associates as a Quality Inspector, where her sharp eye for detail and strong work ethic were deeply valued. She loved gardening, crafting, and spending time with her family. A talented creator, Cecile enjoyed making dried flower arrangements, candles, painting, and holiday decorations. She also cherished her time in Bible Study and was an avid reader.

Cecile will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious and boisterous laugh, and generous spirit.
