Charles A. Carignan, 51, of 70 Old Bedford Road, Bedford, died March 2, 2000, at Catholic Medical Center after a long illness. He was born in Manchester on April 1, 1948, the son of Arthur and Arlene Carignan and had been a resident of Manchester for most his life. He was in the Army serving during the VietNam War, was a member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, the Eagles Lodge # 290 and the Canadian Club. Charles worked for Mailways until his disability. Family members include two sons, Jason Carignan and Randy Carignan, his parents all of Manchester, several brothers and sisters, his close companion Doris (Charpentier) Chouinard of Bedford. SERVICES: Calling hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Thursday morning from 9 to 11 with a service immediately following at 11 in the funeral home chapel.
