BETHLEHEM Charles Chuck W. Champagne, Jr., 32, of Lewis Hill Road, Bethlehem, passed away on Thursday, August 14th in Bethlehem as a result of injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident.
Chuck was born on June 7, 1971 in Littleton, NH, a son of Charles William Billy and Mary Ann (Wiggett) Champagne. He attended Bethlehem Elementary School and graduated from Profile Junior/ Senior High School in 1989 where he met his wife. They had their first child, a son, Seth Allen, in 1990. He worked at Burndy in Lincoln and their daughter, Skye Alicia, was born in 1992. They both had the same dream for their family and worked hard to achieve it. Chuck and his family had purchased their first new home in September 2002.
He was employed at Burndy Manufacturing in Littleton for the past 6 years. He was a New England Patriots Football fan. Chuck loved to ski and was a chaperone for the elementary school ski program. He enjoyed motocross riding up at Teds and felt the greatest Rock-N-Roll band was Poison with lead singer (Chucks idol), Brett Michaels, whom Chuck was going to meet on Saturday, August 16th at the backstage Meet and Greet Tour. The family picked out a Great Dane puppy in Connecticut which they were going to pick up on August 17th, as Chuck loved Great Danes. The family talked about the new puppy daily and Dottie, Seth & Skye will make the trip to pick up the puppy as scheduled. Chuck was a very hard worker and took pride in everything he did. He shared all his joy and happiness with his family, with whom he spent all his free time. He was a devoted father and husband and loved life.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Dottie (Washburn) Champagne, of Bethlehem; one son, Seth Allen Champagne; one daughter, Skye Alicia Champagne, both of Bethlehem; his mother, Mary Ann Champagne of Littleton; two brothers, Frank Champagne of Littleton, and Fredrick Champagne of Bethlehem; three sisters, Rose Marie Pierce of Littleton, Jenny Ingerson of Littleton, and Lisa Pilotte of Bethlehem; his father-in-law Fremont Washburn, Sr. of West Stewartstown, NH, and mother-in-law Anna Gaudette of Groveton; NH, numerous nieces and nephews, and many close friends. His father predeceased him.
SERVICES Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 18th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Pillsbury Funeral Home, 101 Union Street, Littleton, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August, 21st at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Daniel Sinibaldi as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Maple Street Cemetery in Bethlehem.
