Charles Francis Nelson

December 17, 1936 — January 30, 2023

Campton, NH

Charles Nelson of Campton, N.H. passed away peacefully at home at the age of 86, on January 30, with step-daughters Terri and Sharon and son-in-law Jack by his side. He was predeceased by his wife, Jeanette; and parents, Frank and Florence; brothers Frank, Edward and Harry; and sisters Irene and Florence.  He is survived by his sisters Patricia Currier and Mary Latuch; family Linda Erickson, Terri and Ric Tracewski, Sharon and Jack Harris, and Amy Currier; and his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Charlie lived his entire life in Campton and made many friends including John Timson, Howard Noseworthy, John Merrill, and Chuck Murphy. (If I’ve forgotten anyone, please don’t feel left out. Charlie never forgot your kindness.)

Charlie was a master cribbage player. His pegging was legendary!

Charlie enjoyed in recent years spending summers with his sister Pat at her camp in Vermont. He shared his garden with neighbors Chris and Ann Haartz. One year he grew a surprise pumpkin patch!

Charlie worked for the Town of Plymouth until his retirement. He also worked at the Texaco gas station and had the ability to hear what was wrong with your car when you drove it into the garage.

We want to thank Pemi-Baker Hospice Nurses for all their support theses last couple months. We could not have cared for Charlie at home without your help! Thank you Fred Ellis from the bottom of our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Charlie’s name to:
