Mr. Charles "Chuck" Nowicki, 55, of Manchester, NH died October 12, 2008 at Harborside Northwood in Bedford following a 6 week long battle with cancer. He was born on January 24, 1953 in Boston, MA the son of Charles F. Nowicki Sr. and the late Maryellen "Sis" (Portrait) Nowicki. He graduated from high school in Newburgh, NY and went to Northeastern University. Chuck served in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era, where he was a machine gun operator on a helicopter. He worked in the field of telecommunications as a engineer throughout his professional career. Chuck had a great love of sports, scuba diving, the outdoors and lifting weights. He also enjoyed motorcycles and his corvette. Chuck's greatest love was his hair, perfection at its best. He enjoyed traveling as he was the child of a military family and later on his own for work and pleasure. His travels even took him to Poland to research the family history. Besides his father, he is survived by his sister, Roberta Nardone of >Manchester; brother, Arthur Nowicki of Revere, MA; 6 nephews, 5 nieces; 4 great nieces, 5 great nephews and 6 of the greatest friends in the world. Calling Hours are at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St, Manchester on Wednesday from 4-8PM.
