Charles E. Simeon died peacefully on his 90th Birthday surrounded by his immediate family after a short stay at Westwood Center in Keene, NH. He was born to Edward and Augusta Simeon in South Londonderry, VT on February 19, 1924.

Charlie attended schools in Vernon, Putney and Dummerston where he completed up to the 8th grade. During and after school he worked on the family farm. Later in life he did construction work, poured foundations and retired from Boise Cascade as his last job. Charlie served his Country in the US Army. He was a member of the local American Legion Post #5, the Evening Star Grange and the Windham Pomana #5. Charlie had lots of interest in life, from machinery to tools and woodworking. He lived on Dummerston Station Rd. for over 70 years and took great pride in taking care of his property. His favorite sport was snowmobiling and he loved to camp.

He is predeceased by his first wife, Ada Townshend who he shared 46 year of marriage with.

He leaves his children, Thomas Simeon and his wife Barbara of Dummerston, with whom Charlie resided with for the last year and 5 month, Lydia Case of Brattleboro, VT, Anna Klienfeldt of Ipswich, MA, John Simeon of Brooks, KY and Chuck White and his wife Stella of E. Dummerston, as well as 9 grandchildren, 12 grandchildren and his estranged wife, Caryl (Boyce) Simeon.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 6pm to 8pm at KER-WESTERLUND FUNERAL HOME, 57 High St., Brattleboro, VT. Burial will be held in the spring at East Dummerston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlie's name to The Gathering Place, 30 Terrace St., Brattleboro, VT 05301.
