Charles L. Stohl Jr., 79, of Manchester died December 14, 2007, at Concord Hospice House in Concord after a brief illness. He was born in Wakefield Mass. on September 14, 1928, to Charles and Isabelle (Jack) Stohl Sr. Prior to his retirement he worked for many years for Wakefield School Dept. in Wakefield, MA. He lived in Manchester area for the last six years and prior to that lived in Florida and Wakefield, MA. Mr. Stohl was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years Lillian (Daley) Stohl who died in 2006. He was devoted father and grandfather enjoyed coin collecting, loved watching movies and spending time with his grandchildren. Family members includes one son Charles Stohl of Nashua, NH; three daughters Catherine Desper of Hampton, VA, Diane Mason Vassalboro, ME and Carolyn Leite of Manchester, NH; seven grandchildren, many nephews and nieces. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 2-4 PM to 7-9 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover St, corner of Union St., Manchester. Funeral service will be private.
