Charlotte Ann Wellborn

Charlotte Cean Wellborn, 80, died on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Bedford Hills Nursing Home in Bedford, NH after a long illness. She was born on July 6, 1944 in Watertown, NY, the daughter of Niles and Evelyn Cean.

She was the wife of Earnest Wellborn. They were married on March 21, 1969 in Jacksonville, FL.

Charlotte was employed in a variety of fields, most recently as a receptionist at Woodmaster, Inc. before she retired.

She lived for several years in Florida and Georgia and she enjoyed cooking with a southern flair. Her grits and biscuits were second to none. She enjoyed spending time talking with family and friends.

Charlotte is predeceased by her husband Earnest Wellborn, her parents Niles and Evelyn Cean, and her brother Terry Cean.

She is survived by her son Allen Ellison and his husband Alan Michie; sister Mary Huot & her husband Don Huot; niece Michelle Huot and her children Cory, Hannah and Jacob; sister-in-law Jeanne Cean; and several nieces & nephews in New York. During her stay at Bedford Hills, Allen and Michelle provided great care and comfort to Charlotte.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, August 21 at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, Manchester, NH from 4:00-5:30PM with a brief Memorial Service in the funeral home at 5:30PM. Burial of cremated remains will take place in Watertown, NY at a later date where Charlotte will be interred with her parents and brother.

Following services, family and friends are invited to a dinner at the Backroom Restaurant starting at 6:30PM. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial contribution to any hospice facility in New Hampshire.
