Cheryl Amelio, 38, of 1061 Elm Street, died suddenly at her residence August 5, 2001. She was born in Boston, Ma., on August 20, 1962, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Bell) Banker and had been a resident of Manchester for the past few years. She was employed with Burger King. Cheryl overcame many obstacles and was finally taking pride in herself and doing everything she could for her children. She will be greatly missed and always remembered. She was the widow of Nicholas Amelio who died in 1989. Family members include her son Paul Amelio, her daughter Nicole Amelio, both of Manchester, her Paternal grandmother Molly Amelio of Dorchester, Ma., three brothers Joseph Banker, David Banker, Norman Rogers all of Somerville, Ma., three sisters, Marylou Banker of Somerville, Ma., Laura Johnson of Nashua, NH and Vanessa Banker of Somerville, Ma., several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be no services. The Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street, is in charge of arrangements.
