Cheryl A. Dubois, 71, died on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was born on January 26, 1953 in Shirley, MA, only child of the late Francis A. O’Brien and Joan F. Brown, and step-daughter to the late Robert A. Rocheleau.
She was the beloved wife of Bruce A. Dubois, whom she married on June 30, 1973.
Cheryl received her education through St. Patrick School, Manchester High School West, and Keene State College. Prior to retirement, she worked at Amoskeag Bank, Numerica Bank, and most recently Nixon Peabody LLP where she retired from. She also did volunteer work at St. Vincent De Paul Society in Laconia, as well as Belknap House. She always strived to do her best at work as her mother instilled exemplary work ethics by example.

In her free time, she enjoyed knitting for charity and her grandchildren, live music of all genres and live theater. She was a member of South Down Shores Knitters and Dinner and Garden Clubs.
Among her favorite memories was time she spent with family, sitting on the deck overlooking the lake or hearing the surf of the ocean, boating, BBQ’s, holidays, of course, trips to Portland, ME, Long Island, ME, Boston Red Sox and Bruins games, Ireland, Italy, snowmobiling in Yellowstone National Park, numerous Florida beaches, Quebec City, Caribbean cruises and visits with her O’Brien family in New Jersey.
The love she had for all her family and friends and the times they enjoyed together were most important to her. She wanted to acknowledge her family, friends, and especially husband’s true devotion to her always, but especially during her cancer journey. Their support and love sustained her along with her Catholic faith.
She was predeceased by her parents and step-father, as well as God-father, Edward O’Brien, and aunt Marie Balser.
Along with her husband of over 51 years, Bruce, she is survived by her children, Benjamin A. Dubois and wife Maggie, and Brian A.
