CHRISTINE G. BAXTER Christine G. (Trottier) Baxter, 83 of Manchester, NH, died Friday, September 12, 2008, at Hackett Hill Health Care Center, in Manchester. Born on September 22, 1924, in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Alphonsine (Demers) Lachance. She was a life long resident of the Manchester area. She graduated from St. George High School, in Manchester. Mrs. Baxter was employed at St. Anselm's College, where she worked in the cafeteria. She was checklist supervisor in Goffstown, assisting the voters. Mrs. Baxter was a member of CWVA, Post # 1699. She loved dancing and enjoyed music and spending time with her family and playing scrabble. Members of her family include; 4 sons, Louis F. Trottier, of Bedford; Richard G. Trottier, of Winter Garden, FL; Marc Trottier, of Nashville, TN; John Trottier, of Dunbarton; 3 daughters, Gloria Henault, of Houston, TX; Denise Zeludancz-Gagnon, of Hooksett; Christine "Teena" Collins, of Allenstown; 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her first husband, Louis G. Trottier, who died in 1980, and by her second husband, John "Jack" Baxter, who died in 1987. She was also predeceased by her son, Paul Trottier, of New Boston. Calling hours will be Sunday, September 14, from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, 10 A.M. at The Parish of the Transfiguration, Kelley Street, in Manchester. Committal prayers and burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester. It has been suggested that those who wish may make memorial gifts to Sisters of the Precious Blood, 700 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH 03104, in memory of Mrs. Baxter.
