Christine M. Dobbins, 53, of Manchester, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 at her residence following a lengthy illness.
Born in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late William Dobbins and Virginia Ellingson. Christine married the loved of her life, Denis Gagnon, in 1984. The young couple settled in Manchester to raise their beautiful family.
A dedicated wife, mother, sister, and friend, Christine's family was paramount in her life. She and Denis cherished time together camping, especially at Salisbury Beach. A lover of nature and exploration, Christine organized an amateur radio show focusing on emergency preparedness. In her spare time, Christine enjoyed crafting scrapbooks and personalized cards. A parishioner of the St. Elizabeth Seaton Parish, Christine found great comfort and strength in her Catholic Faith. She volunteered her time and talents at Catholic medical center as a clerk in the gift shop, Eucharistic minister, and by knitting prayer shawls. Christine will be best remembered for her gentle spirit and love of family.
Christine is survived by her husband, Denis Gagnon, with whom she shared 33 years of marriage; two sons, Kevin Gagnon of Epsom, and Garrett Gagnon of Manchester; sister, Elizabeth "Betsy" Pratt of WA; mother-in-law, Constance Gagnon of Bedford; two beloved dogs, Teddy and Daisy; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her Memorial Gathering will be held in the Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 250 Coolidge Ave., Manchester, on Thursday, Oct. 19, from 4:00 to 7:00P.M. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated in the St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 190 Meetinghouse Rd., Bedford, on Friday, Oct. 20 at 10:00A.M. followed by Committal at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd., Manchester. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Christine's memory to The American Diabetes Association, http://www.diabetes.org/.
